Class One. Page 97-8. טוב לב משתה תמיד. Two connected ideas: A)דעה רחבה B)שמח בחלקו. The Rebbe explains the connection between them by introducing the discussion on מרובים צרכי עמך (בשביל) שדעתם קצרה.

Class Two. Page 98-99. If materialism is unimportant because one never loses sight of the purpose and goal, then he is always rich. דעת רחב- שמח בחלקו

Class Three. Page 99- 100. To even the undeserving, Hashem gives all they want, so long as they aspire for principle.

Class Four. Page 100. The famous מאמר וקבל היהודים רפ”ז was based on ד”ה כי תשא עטר”ת. There are parts of that מאמר that are not repeated in רפ”ז which the Rebbe said this Shabbos on the פסוק כי תישא תשי”ז.

Class Five. Page 101-2. The הפטורה של אלי’ בהר הכרמל ומשפטו הידוע: עד מית אתם פוסחים על שתי הסעיפים. Why being on both sides of the fence פוסח על שתי הסעיפים maybe worse than being a strict עובד עבודה זרה? Avodah Zarah means that there is a lack of Achdus, and one honors the intermediates.

Class Six. Page 102-4. For several reasons sitting on the fence is worse than being a strict עובד עבודה זרה. A) One who worships idols knows that the sole reason for the exercise is some material benefit he can derive; but there is no altruism; while a fence sitter is unsure about that. B) The...
