This is one of the 10 Niggunim composed by the Alter Rebbe. A Niggun D'veikus is a melody sung while immersed in deep contemplation related the meaning of the words of prayer, or in deep contemplation related to an important event. This is the Niggun D'veykus of the Alter Rebbe which he sang during different parts of Davening on Shabbos or weekdays

Although this Niggun contains many stanzas and is sung in a specific sequence in this recording, note that each stanza is its own short melody called a T'nuah (plural, T'nuos), and the Alter Rebbe would sing one T'nuah during one part of Davening and another T'nuah during a different part of Davening. These T'nuos weren't always sung with exactly the same notes or in exactly the same order. (That's probably why many versions of this Niggun were heard from different Chasidim of past generations.)
